Deported Afghans from Iran Face Hardships in Kabul CampAt a refugee camp

in Kabul, Afghans recently deported from Iran report a lack of access to basic necessities.

They highlight shortages of healthcare, shelter, and essential food supplies as major challenges.

The returnees urge the Islamic Emirate and both local and international aid organizations to urgently address their plight.

Noor Agha, a recent returnee, said in distress: “I ask the Islamic Emirate to at least provide treatment for my daughter, who has health issues.”Ruwaida, another deportee, told TOLOnews: “More doctors should be available to address refugees’ health problems.

Last night, a child slept here and now has an allergy.”Elsewhere in the camp, Fatema Noori, who traveled to Iran five years ago for medical treatment but was deported, now lacks a place to live in Afghanistan.

She appealed to the Islamic Emirate for medical care for her sick daughter and for shelter, telling TOLOnews: “My two children have ongoing health issues, and I can’t find medicine for them.

For God’s sake, please provide my children with shelter.”Kabul officials say they are working to resolve the issues faced by newly returned deportees and to provide necessary services.

Abu Laith, a security official at the Baba Jan Brigade camp in Kabul, stated: “This is a temporary camp, and they should be relocated within 24 hours. During that time, we provide food, a place to sleep, and all necessary facilities.”
