Mujahid Rejects UN Security Council’s Claims of Terrorist Activities in Afghanistan
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, firmly rejected the United Nations Security Council’s concerns regarding the activities of terrorist groups within Afghan territory.
He asserted that, at present, no terrorist groups are operating in Afghanistan, emphasizing that the security situation is fully under the control of the Islamic Emirate.
Mujahid criticized reports from certain international organizations about the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, labeling them as inaccurate and detached from reality.Mujahid explicitly denied the existence of Daesh (ISIS) in the country, stating that the group has been completely suppressed and eliminated.
He claimed that through targeted and extensive operations, the Islamic Emirate’s security forces have eradicated Daesh, ensuring that it no longer poses a threat.
Mujahid further asserted that the Islamic Emirate maintains full sovereignty over all parts of Afghanistan, with no room for Daesh or similar groups to operate.
He called on the international community to refrain from spreading misleading reports and instead cooperate with the Islamic Emirate to support Afghanistan’s reconstruction and development efforts.
These statements come in response to recent UN Security Council reports expressing concerns over the potential activities of terrorist groups, including Daesh and Al-Qaeda, in certain Afghan regions, which could pose threats to regional and global security.
Mujahid dismissed these reports as attempts to undermine the Islamic Emirate’s legitimacy and sow distrust among the Afghan people.
He reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to preventing Afghanistan’s soil from being used against other countries, vowing that no group would be allowed to operate against international interests.
This stance reflects the Islamic Emirate’s efforts to establish its legitimacy on the global stage and build trust with the international community
