Kam Air Signs New Interline Agreement with Uzbekistan Airways to Facilitate Transit Travel
Kam Air, Afghanistan’s leading airline, has recently signed an interline agreement with Uzbekistan Airways to streamline transit travel and reduce costs for Afghan passengers.
This partnership aims to provide easier and more affordable travel options for Afghan citizens.According to Khaama Press, the agreement allows Afghan passengers to travel through Tashkent International Airport to various destinations in Europe, the United States, and other parts of the world served by Uzbekistan Airways.
By leveraging Kam Air’s flights between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the collaboration offers shorter routes and improved services for travelers.Jahed Azimi, CEO of Kam Air, stated, “After extensive efforts, we successfully signed an interline agreement with Uzbekistan Airways.
This airline operates flights to Europe and the U.S., and now our passengers can travel to Kabul or other destinations via Tashkent as a transit hub.
This partnership will bring significant convenience to our compatriots.”In addition to this agreement, Kam Air announced the launch of new flights to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport, alongside its existing five weekly flights to Istanbul. Initially, two weekly flights will operate to Sabiha Gökçen, with plans to increase to daily flights in the future.
This expansion aims to provide more travel options and enhanced services for passengers.The interline agreement and expanded flight routes reflect Kam Air’s commitment to improving services and increasing accessibility for Afghan travelers to international destinations.
